Company and Account
Four namespaces covering who you are and what your company is spending: user reads your own identity and scope, company administers members and roles, billing exposes the whole self-service billing picture, and payments is Autessa Payments. Reads are broadly open to members; the writes need the matching permission.
Who am I?
The first command to run when a script misbehaves or a permission error surprises you:
autessa user role
{
"permissions": [
{ "permission": "AGENTIC_WORKFLOW", "id": "lhQ63Oc2DbO" },
{ "permission": "AUTESSADB", "id": "1NL5iAqgaBP" },
{ "permission": "API_KEY", "id": "zfDFbdhOrxr" },
{ "permission": "SCHEDULED_EVENTS", "id": "Ka62l7LpFzf" },
{ "permission": "APP_BUILDER", "id": "V7ScwapLsCt" },
{ "permission": "SCRIPTING", "id": "oj5g1rED8uP" }
]
}
It returns your identity, your effective permissions in the active company, the active company (currentScope), and every company you can access (availableCompanies). When a command fails with a permission error, this tells you whether you lack the permission or are simply scoped to the wrong company.
autessa login, or a separate profile per tenant. Setting a default scope is web-app-only, and everything else in the user namespace is poweruser API-key management, also done in the browser. See Poweruser keys.| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
| autessa user generate-poweruser-key | Web appPoweruser API keys are generated from your account settings in the web app. |
| autessa user generate-temporary-poweruser-key | Web appTemporary poweruser API keys are issued from your account settings in the web app. |

| autessa user set-default-scope | Web appThe default company scope is set from your account settings in the web app. |
Company
Everything here acts on your active company except create, which makes a new one you own.
Members and roles
autessa company roles
autessa company members
roles lists the six built-in roles plus any custom ones, with their ids. members lists each member and their effective permissions. You need role ids before you can invite or reassign:
autessa company invite \
--email "teammate@example.com" \
--roleIds '["<roleId>","<roleId>"]'
autessa company set-member-roles --userId <id> --roleIds '["<roleId>"]'
autessa company remove-member --userId <id>
set-member-roles replaces the member's roles rather than adding to them. Read company members first and send the full intended set, or you will silently strip access.Administration needs the manage-team-members permission; reads are open to members.
Usage against limits
autessa company usage-status
Reports current usage against every limit dimension — entities, executions, LLM and vibecode credits, phone, storage, semantic search, browser, and AI-task metering. This is the command to poll before a bulk job, and the one to check first when something starts failing for no obvious reason.
Creating and renaming
autessa company create --json '{...}'
autessa company update --json '{...}'
create makes a new company owned by you, optionally making it your default scope. update renames the current one. Ownership transfer, billing setup and SSO are web-app-only.
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
| autessa company create | Create a new company owned by the current user, optionally making it the caller's default scope. |
| autessa company invite | Invite someone to the company by email, granting them one or more roles; sends an invitation email. |
| autessa company members | List the company's members and each member's effective permissions. |
| autessa company remove-member | Remove a member from the company. |
| autessa company roles | List the roles available in the company (the six built-in roles plus any custom roles). |
| autessa company set-member-roles | Set the roles assigned to a company member. |
| autessa company update | Rename the company. |
| autessa company usage-status | Read the company's current usage against every limit dimension (entities, executions, LLM/vibecode credits, phone, storage, semantic search, browser, and AI-task metering). |
Billing
Money is always in cents. Reads are open to members; address and budget writes need the billing permission.
Where the money stands
autessa billing account # prepaid balance, payment state, recent ledger entries
autessa billing plan # commitment, remaining credit, resolved per-task rate, next invoice date
autessa billing budget # hard caps, soft warning target, accrued usage this period
autessa billing invoices # newest first
autessa billing invoice-preview # this period's invoice computed live, persisting nothing
invoice-preview is the useful one mid-month: it runs the same math as month-end without writing anything, so you can see where the period is heading.
Per-task drill-down
autessa billing tasks --period 202609 --page 0 --pageSize 50
autessa billing task --json '{...}'
tasks lists individual AI-task rows for a period (YYYYMM, defaulting to the current one). task returns the itemized receipt for one — metadata, token/voice/RAG usage, per-component cost at the resolved rate, and whether the amount is frozen because it has been invoiced or is still a live estimate.
Setting budgets
autessa billing set-budget \
--userHardBudgetCents 50000 \
--userSoftWarnPercents '[50,80,95]' \
--budgetNotifyEmails '["finance@example.com"]'
autessa billing set-address --json '{...}'
A hard cap stops spend; a soft target only warns. userSoftWarnPercents are percentages of the cap at which warnings fire, and up to five extra recipients can be warned alongside the owner.
