Consultant Access
The consultant dashboard lets Autessa-designated consultant companies provision and operate client companies. Clients own their own workspace; your team gets consultant access to build inside it.
What it's for
Agencies and resellers often build and maintain Autessa workspaces on behalf of their customers. Consultant access keeps ownership where it belongs — with the client — while giving your team the access it needs to do the work, plus commission tracking on the client's usage.
Navigating here
The Consultant entry appears in the sidebar only for companies Autessa has designated as consultants. If you don't see it and believe you should, contact Autessa.
Key concepts
- Autessa-granted — consultant status is a flag Autessa sets on your company; it is not self-serve.
- Client owns the workspace — provisioning a client creates a company owned by the client, with your team granted consultant access. The client must already have an Autessa account.
- Two ways a client joins — you can provision the client company yourself from the dashboard, or the client signs up on their own using your consultant code, which links their company to you the same way a referral code does.
- Scope switching, not impersonation — you operate a client company the same way you use any company you belong to: switch into it from the Companies page.
- Client-side transparency and control — the client's company shows a Managed by banner, and the client's owner can revoke your access at any time with Revoke access.
- Commission — client companies appear with their usage for the period and your commission, on the same rails as the referral program.
Reading the client list
The Client companies table has one row per client, with four columns:
- Client — the client company's name.
- Status — new clients start as Pending review while Autessa confirms the relationship, then flip to Active.
- Usage (period) — the client's collected usage for the current commission period, in dollars.
- Your commission — what that usage has earned you so far in the period.
How to provision a client company
- Open Consultant from the sidebar. The Provision a new client section is visible to your company's owner.
- Enter the client's account email and the client company name.
- Click Provision client. The client company is created under the client's ownership, and it appears in your Client companies list.
How to work inside a client company
- On the consultant dashboard, click Open a client workspace.
- You land on the Companies page — select the client company and click Switch to this company.
- Everything you build while switched in belongs to the client's company. Switch back to your own company the same way when you're done.
