Payouts

Money your customers pay goes to your Autessa Payments balance and then out to your bank on the schedule you choose. This page covers your balance, payout schedule, bank accounts, fees, and refunds.

What it's for​

Knowing when money will land matters as much as getting paid. The Balance and payouts section shows what's available, what's on the way, and every payout sent to your bank, and lets you decide how often payouts happen.

Open Payments →

Your payout bank accounts show as soon as your payments account is open. Your balance, payout schedule, and payout history appear once your business is verified.

Key concepts​

  • Balance. What's available to pay out now, plus what's on the way to your bank.
  • Pending money. A new payment takes a short time to clear before it's available. Bank-account payments take a few business days longer than cards.
  • Payout schedule. How often available money goes to your bank: Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Only when I ask.
  • Hold. How many days to wait before paying out a payment. For example, "Daily, 1 day hold" pays out yesterday's payments every day.
  • First payout. Your first payout usually takes longer than later ones while the account is new.
  • Default account. Payouts go to the bank account marked Default.

How to change your payout schedule​

  1. In Balance and payouts, find Payout schedule.
  2. Choose a Frequency.
  3. Unless you chose Only when I ask, set the Hold (days).
  4. Click Save schedule.

How to use more than one bank account​

  1. Under Payout bank accounts, click Link another bank and pick the account in the secure bank picker.
  2. To change where payouts go, mark another account as the default.
  3. To remove an account, make sure it isn't the default first.

Fees​

  • Autessa's platform fee is a percentage of each payment, taken on the amount before sales tax. You never pay a platform fee on tax you collect.
  • Processing fees for cards, wallets, and bank payments are taken out of each payment before it reaches your balance.
  • Marketplace sales of apps you sell in the Autessa Marketplace carry a 20% Marketplace fee instead of the usual platform fee, also taken on the amount before sales tax. See Selling Apps.

The Transactions section lists every payment and refund with its amount, tax, platform fee, and status.

Refunds​

To refund a payment, use an agent with the Refund tool and the invoice's ID. Leave the amount empty for a full refund, or set it for a partial refund. A refund:

  • goes back to the customer's original payment method,
  • shows on the invoice and under Transactions,
  • reduces the sales tax you collected for that place and month, under Tax collected.

Refunds come out of your balance.

Troubleshooting​

  • No balance or payout schedule yet. They appear once your business is verified. See Set Up Autessa Payments.
  • Payouts stopped. Check the top of the Payments page and your email for Autessa Payments needs your attention. Payouts pause until any missing details are added.
  • Can't remove a bank account. It's the default. Make another account the default first.
  • A payout failed. The bank rejected it, usually because the account was closed. Link a working account and make it the default.
